A good friend who used to live near me in the Tri-Cities, and who now lives in Kansas, is in town for a conference this week, but that also means we get to hang out! So we did a little sightseeing Saturday before the weather got all rainy (like it is today).

The Seattle P-I globe

She got up on top of this sculpture, then goes: "How am I going to get down?" Hmm. Shoulda thought of that before ...

Looking toward Ma & Pa's house.

This guy was trying to do chin-ups. He goes, "It's slippery!" His friend says, "Blah blah blah." It was fun to watch this particular group of tourists.

I'm not sure if Jeannine was taking a picture of the blossoms or the sailboat/water here ... maybe both. This is the view from Alki Beach.

The view from Alki Beach, which really has a little beach town feeling, as you're looking back toward Seattle. (Alki is in West Seattle.)
