Seattle Tourism: The beginning

Since I have a little bit of time on my hands and a severe need to keep busy and have a purpose, etc., I am working on becoming a Seattle tourist. There are so many things I have not done in my own city, and I want to really embrace it, tourist-style or not. I've already made some inroads, but am going to officially kick this thing off on Friday, April 3, and have it last, well, however long it needs to last. Forever?

A synopsis of things I *should* do in Seattle, so sayeth some sites on the information-rich Internets, with the ones I've already done italicized (yay!). The list has been based on Yahoo's "must see, must do" suggestions.

  • Woodland Park Zoo
  • The Underground Tour

  • And after this the Yahoo list starts to get a little bit weird.
My own personal list, so far:
  • Fremont Troll + Lenin

  • Have seen a show at Benaroya Hall
  • Saw a Seahawks game
So now is where I open it up to suggestions. Any favorite Seattle haunts that you think I should go to?

When you do the Underground Tour and/or Arboretum, let us know. We want to go, too! Have you been to the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley? That's a fun one (not in Seattle, but still). Definitely do Lincoln Park!
