Long Beach

I'm on the airplane and posting this. Because Oprah was filming a segment on our way to LAX on our airplane, we weren't allowed to use the WiFi. I wasn't planning on it, but they said we could get a voucher for our troubles. So I got one. And I am interneting on an airplane, updating some much-needed pictures of this L.A. gig.

So we took the train to Long Beach. It takes about an hour, and hey, it turns out Long Beach doesn't really have a beach, at least not anywhere walkable. Whoopsie ... I guess that's called "didn't do research." It was about 15 degrees colder there too. It was a fun stroll along the marina and waterfront, though. I had to get these lighthouse pictures for Mom.
As we were arriving the light was just going down (drat this whole *working* thing), but I was able to capture a little bit of the sunset, with a little bit of running included.
We got a peek of a cool exhibit (it was closed when we were there, of course) where the art was made of license plates.
Then we went back. It was kind of a random trip, but it was fun.
