Seattle Art Museum

The next day I went to Seattle Art Museum (SAM) and stayed for ... four hours. Whoopsie! I didn't have time to do much else. I went to the Seattle Bug Safari, but unless your kid is REALLY into bugs, go to PacSci and call it good.
My favorite exhibit at SAM (no pictures allowed, so you'll have to click the link) was Titus Kaphar. He deconstructs classic art to make his own statement. It was fascinating. There were all sorts of good exhibits there too: The permanent contemporary art installation (my favorite), a patriotic traveling exhibit, an exhibit of paintings of Native Americans, and hours of other fun stuff.
