More paint

Went to the, ahem, "paint store" last night and it was again horrible. But I got some more paint ... a darker brown for the dark wall and a light, light brown for the main walls. But here is some pics as it stands presently.

New coat

So I've painted the ceiling of most of the downstairs (excepting the kitchen and any room that is under the stairs). And now I'm working on eradicating any of the weird fry-sauce (with mustard) color walls that they had. Apparently, as I am inspecting the walls closely, this color was just about everywhere. Not my style.

Sadly, the chai-colored paint that I really liked in the book, on the sample, in the can is a bit too dark for the whole downstairs. But I think that's good. I'm going to use that for the hallway to create unity between the rooms, and by using a lighter color for the walls in the other two rooms they are supposed to appear more spacious. But that means I have to pick out another color.

Here's a foto of the color, or all I could paint with a quart (and the facing hall wall). I heart my little Harry Potter door. It will be an unglamorous litter box zone, though.
